Dear Mr. lybrate-user Mad is a very broad term used negatively when people suffering from illness such as bipolar mood disorder or schizophrenia loose complete control of their thoughts and emotions and it leads to bizarre behavior. Majority of the time patients with OCD are well in aware of their thoughts and emotions, distressed by repetitive thoughts that they know are illogical and engage in repetitive behavior to decrease anxiety from illogical thoughts. Patients with OCD do not usually experience hallucinations or delusions that can lead to bizarre behavior. Hope this helps.
