I am loosing my hair and gaining weight in my thyroid test, my t3 and t4 levels were normal with an slightly abnormal (high) level of tsh=7.2 (where normal is 5).is that any problem. What should I do?

If thyroid tests are done for 1st time then TSH is abnormal and you can be having hypothyroidism. Many times TSH values may increase to this level because of some recent systemic infection. Hair fall and weight gain can occur in hypothyroidism. You need to consult endocrinologist so that decision can be taken whether you need to be put on anti thyroid treatment immediately.
