Respected doctor. My question is do walking at a moderate pace burn calories for weight loss ? I am asking because I feel more comfortable and relaxed when I walk at slow or moderate pace. Thanks.

Anything that is easy to do will burn less calories. You should be able to cover 6 kms in 60 mins. That is a good pace. After few days you can take jogging. Stretch your body's limits. That will make you strong, fit and slim + help you to lose weight faster.

Hello Lybrate This type of walk is called as brisk walk and definitely it reduces weight but in long term not on immediate basis. As well as such walk is best exercise for Heart as it gives accurate rhythms to heart.
