I am diabetic patient since last 3 year (approx). Earlier I was under Homeopathy and since last 4 months I am on Ayurvedic treatment. My question is. Can diabetic patient drink alcohol? Does alcohol increase sugar level?

Good morning, It is strongly suggested that you avoid alcohol at any cost to help with better glucose levels on a daily basis. I also believe that you should be able to do regular FBS levels at least on a weekly basis and also consider taking medications if your blood sugars are not under control. HbA1c is a good indicator of long-term blood sugar control. I recommend that you consult a specialist on Lybrate by seeking the help of the expert Lybrate team. Any other questions related alcohol use and how to prevent and stop using alcohol on a regular basis may be redirected to the psychiatrist. Look forward to hearing from you. If you need help with booking an appointment online with me on this website either text, audio or video appointment for a confidential and private consultation you may do so by contacting the help desk of Lybrate.
