I have been suffering from high blood pressure since very long. I am continuously taking medicines daily still I have swelling in my legs. I wanted to know what is reason of my BP fluctuations and the reason of the swelling.

There can be many reasons for this - 1) Your BP may not be well controlled with the present dose or medicines you are taking. 2) You may be having some other disease either heart related, kidney or thyroid related that may be causing swelling in legs 3) Some amount of swelling in legs is also normally found with some BP lowering medicines. Since you have neither mentioned your BP levels nor your medications and their doses It will be difficult to suggest which out of these may be the cause of your problem without evaluating you, so my suggestion that either please contact your treating cardiologist for a detailed consultation and remain in close follow up with them or If you are not consulting any cardiologist at present then please consult someone locally.
