Dear Lybrateuser, - BP can be controlled by diet, regular exercise, keeping stress to the minimum & maintaining an ideal weight - have a salt restricted diet, also avoid namkeens, pickles, papads, restrict tea, coffee to 1-2 cups per day, have more of fibre containing foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains instead of refined ones, legumes, pulses, sprouts, nuts & seeds - have healthy fats as in olive oil, canola, sunflower oil, avocados, seafood, walnuts, almonds - do regular exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming, yoga, meditation & deep breathing to keep fit - destress by sleeping well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, reading, listening to music or following a hobby - monitor bp to know if it is high or low by a bp apparatus - keep weight within normal range for your age.
