I am feeling low, worried about my family and my health as there are some symptoms that I am experiencing like headaches, dry eye, leg weakness, fatigue etc after my father was admitted in ER due to CABG and COPD in 6 months. Before that I was very healthy and happy and after this I am unable to concentrate always in tears and feeling different kind of pains which the doctors could not find out after having multiple tests and MRI of brain and spine. They say it is stress but I have symptoms like unstableness and dizziness sometimes. Is this all psychogenic and stress. What I can I do to get better. No medicine has helped so far.

Hello lybrate-user I read that your father is suffering from Heart disease and COPD a very debiliting disease Following this you started to have health problems which according to doctors is because of stress. I would like to explain in as much common language as much possible to reason why you are suffering this. 1) You are still very young at 35 years trying to face a difficult situation so sub conciously your body is naturally trying to combat this situation in medical condition call Flight or fight situation where hormone are release in the body which can cause fear Therefore try to gain more knowledge of the situation and try to solve them one by one. Conning to your love for your father - keep loving your father but remember it is also nature those born can fall sick and atlast expire so accept this universal law. About illness of your father medicine cost I don't your financial condition but if you cannot afford ask for help .There is nothing wrong in asking help in such situation Lastly you have to become a strong will to be able to overcome the situation by keep reminding your self YES I CAN & I AM BRAVE PERSON. Apart from medicine this reinforcement of encouragement is required. When you are stressful share nicely with your relative and friend If still not able to overcome you can call me for Behavioural therapy.
