I am 32 year, I started working out in gym from past 12 days, Bt when doing exercise for biceps, my lower back sudden pain started, but I was using less weights when working out, now it is quite difficult to sit and also to walk, which pain killer can I take.

Hello, thanks for using Lybrate. As you told that you started gym n causing pain in back. So its better to avoid weight lifting and also do hot fomentation. Also get done x ray and go to the physiotherapist near by.

Take rest at present. Consult an Orthopaedic surgeon, take X-ray, if necessary MRI of Back. First confirm diagnosis, then start treatment. At least for three months you should take proper precautions for standing, sitting with back supported, avoiding sitting cross-legged, avoiding forward bending, avoid squatting. You can start physiotherapy after pain relief.
