Dear Sir/Madam. I have a Hormonal disorders problem and my doctor recommended to take Spironolactone Pill (3 Pills a day. Furthermore I am suffering from hormonal acne (Painful cysts that include bottoms of my cheeks and around jaw line) and using benzoyl peroxide for my acne but it is not so effective and also I am allergic to adapalene. I would be grateful if you could help me in this case. Thank You

Hi, Since your history suggests you have hyperandrogenism (hence spironolactone), the acne treatment can take long but is possible. You can best consult a dermatologist and an endocrinologist for the long term management. You can take oral Vitamin A derivatives only on prescription combined with peels for acne which enhance the results many folds. Also peels will take care of scarring and pigmentation.
