I have cold and cough problem continuously. My nose always remain close. I have to continue my respiration by mouth. When I took some cold tablets I fill better but when stop taking medicine it continue again. I am suffering from this for long time. Now I irritated for this problem. Please give me some suggestion.

Hello lybrate-user By looking at your complaint, it's definite that you are having chronic sinusitis problem. The reason could be allergic, or it can be due to DNS in which condition one or both nostril remains block for most of the times. You are thereby advised to see an ENT to rule out any polyp or DNS (deviated nasal septum) In the mean time, follow these simple measures 1) steam inhalation once a day for 2-3 minutes for a wk at least. 2) instill nasoclear nasal drops (saline solution) in both nostrils before sleep (it will help clearing mucus) 3) you didn't mention if you have any family history of allergic rhinitis or sinusitis in your family. Usually it happens. 4) pls let me know if there is headache also associated with this. Hope this provides solution to your query.
