I have high triglycerides. Doctor prescribed me Tonact G.I am taking the dosage every morning after having breakfast. Will it affect my Blood Sugar level. I am Non Diabetic. Will it increase my Diabetes? Please advice

Niharika medicine for high triglycerides is required only if it is mite than 400 mg/dL The main treatment is reduction of weight and healthy diet

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Atorvastatin plus Finofibrate combination is prescribed when both cholesterol & TGL are high. Since there is no actual value mentioned, it is difficult to comment. There is no reason to worry on these drugs causing problem with diabetes. TGL is considered high only when values go above 500 mg More importantly LDL > 130 mg needs to be reduced. Thanks.
