I was in Delhi for 6 months. From last 40 days there is some blockage in my nose. It looks like polyps. I have visited 3 ENT doctors. One said it's Allergic Rhinitis, others said it's due to allergy. I have used steroid sprays, Prednisolone, and almost all kind of medicines, but they haven't shrink a bit. What can I do? Last doctor prescribed taking antibiotics, paracetamol, antihistamines, Prednisolone and few other medicines and a nasal spray twice daily for 15 days which I am taking currently.

Dear lybrate-user Those you see in the mirror are nasal turbinates and not polyps. They wont shrink because they are there since birth. You don't need to be bothered by them unless you don't have relief in nasal blockage. These turbinates are very essential in air conditioning of all types of air you inhale into lungs. So stop looking at them and just look at the difficulties in breathing or sneezing or any allergy symptoms. Ask your doctor about your doubts and get them cleared when you take a review with him. Don't change doctors frequently. Get well soon.
