Few days back I got hit on my shoulder, and from that day the movement of the shoulder is restricted and is paining too. I saw an orthopedist for that and he asked me to have an X-RAY and MRI of the shoulder. He even asked me to have some test i.e. Vitamin-D test, C.B.C, Serum uric acid test and ESR. I just want to know what are these tests for and is it wroth to have these tests done, as all these tests are quite costly.

No need to do blood tests. Only MRI is fine.

Dear lybrate-user Its good to share your concern about your health. You have mentioned that you had a HIT in your shoulder there after you had pain and reduced joint movement. You have consulted an orthopedic, hopefully he has given you anti-inflammatory medication. X Ray and MRI is required to see the gross damage if the pain doesn't reduce in 3 days. Other tests mentioned Vit D, CBC, Uric Ac and ESR are actually not required in your case of injury. Only MRI is costly others are not that much.

MRI will be good... take rest. take hot fermentation. do movement if no pain. do isometric excercise.
