Hi, I am 24 years old. I am suffering from acne from last 4-5 years. Whenever I take allopathic medicines, acne disappears completely but when I leave medicines it again come back after 2-3 months. The most affected part is forehead. Its not that pimples are large, they are tiny and spread all over face. I also tried homeopathy for 2 months but it didn?t even work at all. Please suggest what should I do? Is there any alternative method to treat acne instead of taking medicines as these may cause side effects taking them on regular basis.

Acne needs patience to treat. You need a structured and prolonged treatment for about 4 months to control this condition. Excellent molecules are available in the management of acne. Isotretinoin, adapalene, other retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin are some of the molecules which are used in the management. A treatment with proper combination and doses helps. In resistant/ recurrent cases, we can go for a chemical peel or a carbon peel too. Salic peels are wonderful peels and help in prevention of recurrence. This would help in addtion to mediciens, in your case.

There are many reasons for acne. But very basic things which you can handle at home are: eat healthy food avoid fried food/white flour/sugar. Drink lots of water proper bowel movement is a must keep your skin clean if you follow these basic instructions your problem would be sorted out. If it doesn't work then you need medicines for which you can get back to me. Homoepathy works wonderfully rest assured on that.
