Hello doc my tsh is 1.03 m taking 62 mg thyronorm and my mom also having hypothyroid she takes 50 mg nd tsh is 3.6. So please suggest me whether I have to reduce dosage ?and also suggest dosage for my mom?

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. When one is on treatment with adequate dose of Thyroxine in hypothyroidism, TSH should be maintained as in the normal person, which is about 0.5 to 4.5 mU/L. So the TSh values mentioned of both of you are within the normal limits. So there is no reason to change the current dosage of any of you. Thanks.

No need to change the dosage. Repeat your thyroid test after every 6 months. And your doctor will taper your dose accordingly.
