Also use elbow support to prevent further injury and to support your elbow. Avoid any jerky movement n repetitive movement of elbow that causing pain. Follow work related ergonomics regarding your elbow. Moreover I will recommend to go to near by physiotherapist again for better relief.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, Greetings of the day. The chronic elbow pain, which is persistent for more than five months, should have some cause, which is not understood and eliminated. Possible causes can be as follows: 1. A particular position/ posture for a long time like holding a computer mouse, playing tennis or badminton, holding heavy objects like files or books etc. 2. Something must have hit your elbow 3. Driving two wheeler or four wheeler with stiff gears and accelerator Please try to recall, how did it start. Which action was bothering you, when the pain started. I would also like to know your occupation and day to day physical activities. If we can find the underlying cause, the treatment will be simple. I would also like to know, what remedies you have followed for your elbow problem. Till that time, I suggest you the following simple remedies: 1. Apply some warm oil (sessame/ musturd/ sunflower oil) over the painful area and massage with the fingertips for 2-3 minutes. Then foment that area with towel soaked hot water. Do it twice a day. OR Apply Kailash Jeevan ointment in that area, twice a day. I suggest not to take any pain killers as it is not going to solve your problem. If this doesn't give you even partial relief, please consult me personally. There are very good remedies in Ayurved for Tennis elbow.
