Hi all, I am 17 weeks pregnant. I took my blood test and my hemoglobin level is less. My doctor suggested to take Bandy 400 mg for one time. After buying I read a instruction in tablet stating 'not recommended for pregnant ladies I tried calling to my doctor but she is out of town and not available. So kindly anyone suggest me. Is it safe to take Bandy 400 mg?

Take natural iron rich products in your diet like spinach, pomegranate, beetroot etc. Take homeopathic iron tonics as they are safe and very effective.

Do not take Bandy 400. It is better to avoid albendazole in your pregnancy. However, it is always recommended to know the cause of your anemia and get it treated. The most common cause in the Indian population is Iron deficiency anemia. It is recommended to consult a Hematologist for your anemia. Wishing you good health. Regards.

Hi lybrate-user, I my opinion don't take bandy and for low hb get an complete blood count pbf and reticulocyte count, one has to find out the cause as this complicate further if not managed.
