There is a psychiatrist who told me to take etilaam 0.5 twice a day as I'm suffering from generalized S.A. But I don't want to take this medicine regularly because of negative reviews as these medicines are very addictive, occurs memory loss problem too. So my query is that can I take etizolam medicine whenever it is required (like in interviews and group discussion ).is it safe to take this medicine before going to stressful situation? Thanks in advance.

It is advisable to take the medicine as prescribed by your treating doctor as the treating doctor has assessed your condition face to face. But, also try considering non pharmacological means like some counseling sessions which would help you control your anxiety on long run, which would further enhance your confidence levels. Your doubts are genuine as the medicine has addiction potential when used more than 4 weeks. So,again discuss the same issue with your treating doctor.
