Hello doctor I have taken salicylic peel for acne treatment. Two weeks apart four sessions four months ago. After 4th session I got very very mild hyper pigmentation on my face. Now I don't want to go for any peel. From four days am using volamena vitamin c serum every night and sunscreen 40 thrice daily n also moisturises 4 times daily since my skin is very dry. Can I use kojiglo gel alternate night. Since vitamin c serum can take time to show results and my pigmentation is getting dark day by day. Already started good diet also.

Pigmentation after chemical peels is a definite possibility if the peel stays on your skin for a longer time than required. This is called as post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Salicylic peels are generally safe as they are self neutralising peels. But that does not mean that they cannot cause PIH. You can continue applying the above mentioned gel. The PIH would subside gradually. Don't worry about it.
