Hello. I am currently undergoing tooth treatment, as I had one root canal and multiple cavities to be removed. I am almost done with the treatment. However, I get very very bad pain in both side lower teeth either during late night or very early morning. This happens even when I slp in noon and get up in evening. The pain at times is unbearable but lasts only for few mins. I did asked the dentist about the same, however he said this is called sensitivity and he will suggest a toothpaste for the same. I am really worried bcz pain at tyms is unbearable. Kindly suggest if there might be other reasons for it. And what can be possible causes of pain at such odd times a and what can be measures to overcome that. Thanks in advance.

Type of pain described by you appears to be due to inflammation in pulp. It may be due to deep cavity involving pulp or any deep filling. Consult a dentist who will evaluate clinically and try to find the cause of your pain and will advise x ray or test if needed. Once the cause is diagnosed, it can be treated easily. If pain is not of dental origin, it can b due to other causes which need detailed evaluation.

once a tooth is root canal treated than you will not have any sensation to the tooth no hot or cold coz the nerve of the tooth is amutated in this procedure. The pain in the tooth occur for 3 days post treatment but I think your rct is not done properly why don't you cross examine your treatment by other dentist if your pain is related to the treated tooth. If your pain is in nontreated tooth than that tooth also require rct as you have mentioned you have many cavity teeth.
