We are in US now. My husband (70 years) is affected with gastric pain on the left side below the chest, gas, burning indigestion and acid reflex. Maybe due to spicy food or hotel food, he has been having stomach trouble on and off last couple of months. He was given by the local doctor OMEPRAZOLE 20 mg, one per day, and antacid liquid. Asked to take soups only for 3 days. Does this need immediate investigation like endoscopy etc? We're stuck in US at present.
