After 1 month his blood sugar level was 116 after taking medicine and his weight was 57 kg. At present his blood sugar is 114 but his weight come down to 55 kg. He is still taking medicine. I want to know why he is loosing weight even his blood sugar is under control? And what can he do to gain weight?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details given, however, the information provided is incomplete. Hence no suggestion can be made. I need to know following details: Fasting and PP blood glucose levels (current), HbA1c%, extent of daily exercise, present dietary pattern and medication being taken with dosage. Please comeback with specific details. Then only I will be able to give some answers. Usually in diabetes weight is lost when blood glucose is not well controlled. Loss of glucose in the usrine leads to weight loss and fatigue. Thanks.
