My father age is 56. He has diabetes. Diabetes is hereditary in my family. My grand father also had diabetes. My father blood sugar was 348 four months ago and his weight was 59 kg at that time. After 1 month his blood sugar level was 116 after taking medicine and his weight was 57 kg. At present his blood sugar is 114 but his weight come down to 55 kg. He is still taking medicine. I want to know why he is loosing weight even his blood sugar is under control? And what can he do to gain weight?
