If fasting sugar is 100, PP is 81 and HbA1C is 6.44. What does it indicate? Is it per-diabetic condition? Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Fasting 100 mg & PP 81 mg look absolutely normal levels. However HbA1c% 6.44, looks closer to being a diabetic. Between 5.7 to 6.4 % is considered as pre-diabetic. Similarly Fasting 101 to 125 mg & PP 141 to 199 mg is considered as pre-diabetic. Which means there is a possibility that the person can progress to be a diabetic if no care is taken. Precautions needed are dietary restrictions, weight control and regular exercise. Thanks.
