lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Madam it is beter to get an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) done with 75 g of glucose in a laboratory. That will help in coming to correct conclusion weather you have gestational diabetes or not. Usually for checking GDM, OGTT is done between 26th to 28th week of pregnancy. In ladies with a family history of diabetes it should be done as early as possible. So please get an OGTT done. If any of the value is higher than recommended, then there is presence of GDM. Following are the recommeded values: OGTT with 75 g of glucose: fasting 92 mg and above, 1 hour after glucose: 180 mg and above, 2 hours value 153 mg and above. Since you are in 2 nd month of pregnancy, it is better to get an OGTT now. OGTT karanese kya situation hai pata lag jayega. Thanks.

Not so very high, mild elevations, it won't cause much damage. Avoid sugar in any form, go for regular physical activity, small frequent feeds of mixed variety (more on greens and vegetables, fruits). Don't worry, be conscious.

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned your test report is normal and you do not need any medications for it but to prevent it you can follow like this - 1) Eat healthy foods. Choose foods lower in fat and calories and higher in fiber. Focus on fruits, vegetables and whole grains. 2) Do more physical activity. Aim for 30 minutes of moderate physical activity a day. Take a brisk daily walk. If you can't fit in a long workout, break it up into smaller sessions spread throughout the day. 3) Try to lose excess weights. If you're overweight, losing even 7 percent of your body weight can reduce the risk of diabetes. To keep your weight in a healthy range, focus on permanent changes to your eating and exercise habits. Hope that helps.
