Acute pancreatitis most of the times is self limiting and sometimes can recure at certain intervals. Get examined by a gastroenterologist and if not done before CT scan and MRCP will give some clue about the underlying cause. If weight loss and oily stools are there then patient needs pancreatic enzyme supplements. In long term secondary diabetes is a possibility. Local gastroenterologist will guide you. Hoping for a quick recovery and good health.
