Low carb diet is very simple. There are 3 types of carbs - good, neutral & bad. 1. Good carbs - They give very low calories and must be eaten in abundance. Carbs coming directly from nature like fruits, veggies, legumes and nuts are good. 2. Neutral carbs - These are energy dense and should be eaten in moderation - staple food grains like rice & wheat based foods. We tend to over eat these. 3. Bad carbs - All processed and over cooked carbs are bad with no nutritional value. These carbs should not be eaten or eaten very less. There small quantity gives very high calories. All market & packed foods, white table sugar and sugar based foods are in this category.
