I am suffering from some thyroid related issues. Now I am taking Thyronorm 50 mg. My current value of TSH 3.58IU/ml and Anti Microsomal Antibody 583.9. How can I reduce this? please suggest any allopathic treatment for that.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. TSH level 3.58 mU/L shows your hypothyroidism is in good control and most of the symptoms will be in check. The antibodies level signifies that the disease is due to an autoimmune process. There is no separate treatment for that. Only maintaining recommended TSH level is the remedy. In some cases using selenium 200 mcg a day may be helpful in reducing the ANti TPO antibodies (same as earlier mentioned). Thanks. You will have to continue taking the same dose of Thyroxine. Plus will have to check TSH once in 6 months or so. Thanks.
