First and foremost you need to get scaling and polishing done from a dentist. Thereafter you need to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing twice daily, use of tongue cleaner, regular use of Listerine mouthwash. The blood could be either from gums or an after effect of your throat infection. If the blood is from gums then scaling polishing along with good oral hygiene will resolve the issue. If blood is from throat infection it will resolve by itself in a few days as the infection clears completely.
