Hello, Thanks for the query. For treating hypothyroidism you have to take adequate dose of Levothyroxine. The dosage depends upon age, weight, height, T4 and TSH levels. If hypothyroidism is not controlled (TSH to be maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L), then joint and muscle pains do occur apart from other symptoms. Taking Levothyroxine regularly is essential. Plus should avoid soy beans, and soy containing products. Also use whole grain flour for roti and chapati. Consume more of green leafy vegetables and salads and fruits. Avoid bakery items and foods made from maida. Thanks.
