Hi I'm a 23 year old girl. It has been 60 days since my last menstrual cycle. I usually have irregular periods, but they never crossed 40 days mark. I'm taking homeopathic medicine for last 7 days, yet no effect. I had protected sex on the 50th and 51st day since my cycle. And before this, I had penetrative sex in May 2017. I got PCOS and Thyroid tests done last year, both came out to be negative. Kindly answer my following two queries: 1. How should I induce periods and what is the likely cause for the delay? 2. Will there be any chance of pregnancy? If so, when is the earliest to test for it and how? Your genuine advice would mean a lot. Thank you.

Hi lybrate-user. The chances of pregnancy is less if it was protected sex. But still you may do the simple urine pregnancy test to clear doubts. Second. Homoeopathic medicine does not work as conventional medicines does. Sometimes it takes time to show the action as it is a very difficult thing to regulate the system. So my suggestion is to have patience. Not having period will not cause any difficulty. It is better that it come naturally without taking any hormonal supplements. The hormonal supplements have many side effects. Once the homoeoapthic medicine cures you should have your periods regularly.
