Hi lybrate-user, You can continue till the doctor has prescribed. To improve iron naturally, take foods rich in iron like rice flakes, soya bean, bajra, cow pea, greens, cauliflower leaves, dried sundakkai, mango powder, turmeric, cumin, dried dates etc. And non veg foods like chicken liver, red meat, etc. If you are a non vegetarian. Iron tablets taken for a long duration may cause constipation, dark colored stools, nausea, head ache etc. It is always better to manage it with good foods. Wishing you good health. Hope this helps.
