Hi lybrate-user, These home remedies for shoulder pain could be the trick for finding relief. 1. Sleep - Try a supported sleep position. Lay on your good side and place a pillow in front of your body. Rest your bad shoulder on this pillow for support. 2. Stand (And Sit) Up Straight - This is particularly important if you spend your days sitting at a desk. When sitting, try placing a small pillow or cushion behind your lower back. Improving your lower back support will, in turn, improve your upper body posture. To improve your standing posture, pay special attention to how you hold your shoulder blades. Made sure they are down and back. 3. Epsom Salt - Fill your bath tub with warm to hot water, and pour in two cups of epsom salt. Mix thoroughly until the salt dissolves. Get in the bath and submerge your shoulder. Repeat three times weekly. For an added benefit, use lavender epsom salts. Lavender epsom salts make a for great stress relief remedy! 4. Turmeric - Turmeric is anti-inflammatory by nature, making it a great home remedy for swelling and pain. Try mixing two tablespoons of turmeric and one tablespoon of coconut oil to make a potent anti-inflammatory paste. Apply to the shoulder in pain twice daily. 5. Neck Release - Sit up straight. Slowly lower your chin to your chest, as if nodding yes, until you feel a stretch in the back of your neck. You can lean your head to the side opposite your bad shoulder for an extra stretch. Hold up to one minute in each direction. Repeat 3-5 times. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
