I am a diabetic patient ,my doctor has suggested me some costly medicine for eg. Rs23. 50 each tablet, and the same table with same indigrient is available for rs 5. Should I go as per dr's advice or I can have generic medicine, I can not afford such costly medicine, as I am a working and middle income group person, wanted your suggestions, also if you can give me some diet plan it will be good, I both veg and non veg with no habit of drinking or smoking, I have tea that too black, pls help me sir.

You can have the generic medicines. Cut down on carbohydrates like rice, potato, sugar. Maintain an exercise routine. Like daily brisk walking for atleast 40 mins. Get your sugar tested every three months.

Dear, if content of a medicine is same then no issue .You can have that 5 rs tablet. Need to know your fasting /pp sugar levels. Do exercise regularly to reduce weight esp walking. Diet should be low in carbohydrates. No sugar, chocolates.Avoid oily food abundant green leafy vegetables n fruits. Regards.
