Any exercise is good for body including gymming. You may put on weight after leaving exercise+ overeating. But it is due to passive life that people put on weight, the gym is not responsible for the weight. There are any number of people who have never done exercise and they too are putting on weight. These are all myths. Hence its good to do exercise Lifelong because our body needs exercise to stay in shape. It is nice to start a good habit now.
