Gum bleeding means you have diseased gums, so start brushing after each meal with a soft toothbrush and get a deep cleaning done.

Calculus as in stones deposited in gums results in swelling by irritating it and when there is inflammation there will be bleeding ofcourse. So you need to use a good mouthwash as recommended by a dentist and then go for scaling and polishing to remove the calculus. Once its removed then naturally the swelling and bleeding will stop.
