I am suffering from diabetes last few months. I am first release it last year. After 2 months it became normal range. This year after eating plenty of mangoes the blood sugar increase to 554 (pp) and 417 (fasting). Then the doctor prescribed me Tab Exermet GM forte 2 (2+1000) and Tab Tenepride M 500 (20+500) one tablet every day in the morning and in the evening respectively on 17/09/2017. After one month my blood sugar levels come down to 71.5 (fasting) and 98.2 (pp). Then my doctor prescribed me Tab Exermet GM forte 1 (1+1000) and Tab Tenepride (20) one tablet every day in the morning and in the evening respectively on 10/10/2017. After continuing this medicine my blood sugar levels is 103.6 (pp) and 78.4 (fasting) on dated 25/10/2017. Then my question is may I continuing the medicine or stop it or power of medicine reduce?

You need to continue this medicine as you are maintaining on this dose for time being. Keep a check on your sugar level and consult your treating doctor as he may decrease the dose and recheck your blood sugar if it get increase again you will be put back on this dose again otherwise appropriate dose will be prescribed. Or if any time your sugar got low while on this dose medication. Need to be reduced.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is good to know that with regular medication you have been able to control diabetes very well. Apart from taking necessary medication it is equally important to take a properly planned diet and exercise regularly so that your blood glucose levels remain in good control. Present levels look very good. Just check HbA1c% also. That will give an idea of long term control. Current treatment looks to be working very well. Thanks.
