I am no surgeon and I have no vested interests in surgery. My job is to avoid surgery in most cases. But your appears to be a candidate for surgery. Surgery by a good surgeon is not cheap. We use surgery as alast resort when everything fails, but at 60 complications in good hands are very less, success rate is high (>99.5%). Even in 0.5 % they might not get complete relief, but still they are much better than before. Most doctors themselves 60 with bad knees will and do undergo knee operation. Better quality of life and much better mobility, these are best years of elderly life, I would advise not to live in pain with same when knee replacement makes a world of difference. Unfortunately very difficult to suggest a surgeon. You will ahve to dig around, take 2-3 opinions. Best surgeons are often expensive, but probably worth the money - expect on average ~ 2.5 lcas per knee. But in decent settings and not big coporates one can probably get it done under 1.75 lacs each knee. But again you will have to check on your own. Best wishes
