Vitamin B12 is almost exclusively produced by microorganisms. Sources include liver, kidney, milk, eggs, cheese, other meat products, yeast extracts and fortified breakfast cereals. It is the only vitamin not found in vegetables. So you can start by decreasing intake of these foods. Take a vitamin C supplement with vitamin B-12 rich foods. Vitamin C may destroy dietary vitamin B-12. Although rare, consuming too much vitamin C can cause some gastrointestinal symptoms. Do not exceed 2,000 mg of vitamin C per day.
