I am a Diabetic patient. In the mid night I get up from the bed to go to toilet. After that I am not getting sleep up to 3: 00 A.M Kindly advise me.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. In a person with diabetes, particularly if blood glucose is not well controlled, a considerable amount gets filtered in to urine. Hence, due to osmosis more water is drawn in to bladder, increasing the urge to pass urine at midnight or some times more than 2 to 3 occasions. Only remedy for this is to achieve a strict blood glucose control, so that there is no extra glucose secreted in urine. You should maintain FBG < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% <6.8. Thanks.
