Kindly get an x-ray done and you will get to know the correct positioning of the tooth ie erupting. Get it extracted as it is your wisdom tooth. Till then you can take a pain killer like tab dentaforce dt 2 tablets dissolved in water. Also do warm saline rinses as this will remove the food lodgement.

Hello Dental pain can be really annoying and I can totally empathize with you. From the description it appears that your" wisdom tooth" is in the process of eruption. This is a common problem in your age group. I am sure your doctor must have given you some medicines for relief. If there is absolutely no relief even after 3 days then I will advise you to meet him / speak to him so that he can make the desired changes in your prescription. You will have to be patient, as the problem tends to persist and recur till the tooth has completely erupted in the mouth. Sometimes there may not be sufficient space in your jaws for the tooth to erupt in such cases it is advisable to get it removed. In the mean time I will advise you to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing after every meal and rinsing your mouth with warm saline water every 3-4 hours. All the best.

Yes it must be the wisdom tooth, take painkillers and antibiotics, don't do hot fomentation over the cheek, instead do rinses with lukewarm water with a pinch of salt and do not eat or chew something very hard from that side fr few days.

At your age there is possibility of third molars (wisdom teeth) erupting. Sometimes due to lack of space, these erupting teeth cause pressure leading to pain. If there is no enough space for these teeth, it will cause food lodgement and infection in gums (pericoronitis). You may need to get x ray done to check for the space available for this tooth, 1. If there is space, you can go for conservative treatment like cleaning and medications 2. If there is no space, you need surgical removal of this tooth.
