My Mother Is Having Tumor In Uterus (Rasoli) And She's Also Suffering From Diabetes Around 5-6 Years Now. Yesterday My Mother Went To Doctor And She's Diagnosed That She Have To Do The Surgery In Order To Remove That Otherwise That Tumor Will Become Cancer. Now You Guys Tell Me Is It Okay To Go To Doctor And Let Them Do The Surgery. BTW My Sugar Level Is 200 to 230 fasting and 240-260 pp.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Since the doctor consulted is of the opinion that there is need for surgery, then better to get it done. On that regard there can not be any opinion given without actually seeig (examining) the patient or reading the specific reports. Secondly as regards her diabetes, for undergoing any surgery she will have to achieve a strict blood glucose control, and maintain glucose level <200 mg after food. Then only surgeon will operate. Mostly she will have to be put on Insuling prior to surgery (a few days before), to bring down the glucose level, then after surgery, based on the surgeon and physicians advise she can return to oral drugs for diabetes. That will help in quick recovery during and after surgery. Thanks.
