Namaste sir/mam how conclusive is hiv1 hiv2 3rd generation negative blood test report after 6 month of since last exposure. Negative results after 6 month is rule out any possibility of hiv infection. Can man stop worrying about hiv after 6 month since last exposure result come negative and forgot about hiv. Should any chance after 6 month negative result turn positive after 9 month are 1 year. Any chance of late seroconversion after 6 month negative results. My risk was a condom protected vaginal sex with unknown states girl. Should I test after 1 year for 100% safe are my 6 month later since last exposure result is conclusive enough and not any other further testing required.

I would only add. If you did not have any illness like short duration fever or any respiratory symptoms or diarrhoea in first 3 months after exposure, you are safe. Also to ask you if any p24 Antigen assay was done? If found reactive, then there may be late sero conversion upto 360 days in very very rare cases and additional tests are required. Else if negative and HIV 1/2 antibody tests are negative, then you do not have HIV. Please ensure in future to not to indulge in such activities with unknown poeple.
