Sir I had taken hiv 1 & 2 antibody test and p24 test after 4 months of exposure. I had taken this test from lab test named is hiv 1 & 2 antibody screening test. This test came out to be negative to me. And I have a single partner and I got tested to her also. Her past exposure is just a kiss with his ex boyfriend in 2013. Her same test came out negative. My concern is that should we take western blot test or we are hiv negative further no testing is required. Is there chance that this test which I mentioned above shows only recent infection. Old infections are not shown by this test is it possible. Like if my girlfriend tested after 3 years does she shows false negative result or my 4 months exposure does not came in this test kindly help.

No western blot test required. Take HEP b and VDRL also. If HEP b negative both of you should get vaccines.
