Hi, my uncle got a gastrointestinal tumor which was removed surgically successfully. After 10 days of surgery they checked and in the report it has come. B LYMPHOCYTE= NEGATIVE. This is what they told me. So I want to know what does this really mean? Is it related to cancer? Can you pls tell me what it is. Pls.

Hello, Your uncle has got a GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumor) which if removed surgically has a high chance of cure. I need to know the histopathology report to tell you whether to start a drug after the surgery or know and further prognosis. It is a type of cancer.

Yes the report might have mentioned b lymphocyte negative, but there would be other pieces of information in the biopsy report which you have not told. Please repost the complete biopsy report for any advice. Thank you.
