Thyroid cancer and Schwannoma are different tumors. Thryoid cancer spreads and later does not. FTC (Follicular thyroid cancer) can spread to bones more readily and need repeated thyroid scans to know the tumor status after high does radioiodine therapy. I need to know the status after the radioiodine treatment via thyroid scan.

For follicular carcinoma you need to be followed up with regular blood tests. If disease is found to have recurred, you would be advised another dose of radio-iodine. Surgery for disease spread elsewhere is usually not needed. Radio-iodine takes care of that. Please confirm that neck lesion is part of thyroid cancer or schwanomma. Both are not one and the same thing, and treatment is different for both.
