My mom was suffering from being (non cancer) breast phylloid tumor. 2 months back it was removed by surgery. Now she s ok. What are the remedies for to reduce reassurance. She is 42 years old. Can I give GARDASIL (Rx HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS QUADRIVALENT) Vaccine. Because (my grandmother and great grandma was suffered from cancer. Please help me.

Yes Gardasil can be given but it will not prevent the cancer at this age. Phyllodes tumor can recur depending on the histopathology report if it is malignant.

Phyllodes tumors are usually innocuous and if it was small in size and completely resected with adequate margins, usually does not need further treatment. However, she has to be on regular followups to looks for recurrence if any and treat it at early stage. Regarding, GARDASIL, it is not useful for you mother. It is indicated for young girls before onset of sexual life.
