Hi my husband is 24 yrs. He is getting recurrent episodes of stomatitis glossitis. Mild bulging of tongue. unable to bear spicy food. After eating chicken r heavy foods he is getting recurrent episodes. He is having habit of eating betel nuts. Is it related to above condition. He is not having any habit f tobacco chewing. Why he is getting such problem.

Hello, Welcom to Lybrate. It seems to me he is having burning sensation on tongue. Yes, it can be related to betel nuts. Other reason can be acid regurgitation, vitamin B Deficiency. You need to visit a doctor physically or upload a picture to get proper diagnosis. Mostly I think it is because of depapilation of tongue due to betal nuts. You can try lignocane gel or Keno karta. 0.1% ointment topically. Two to three times daily both. Regards.
