HIV test taken after 21 days of exposure is accurate? I know after 3 months is conclusive. But heard that through rapid HIV 1 and 2 testing can able to see the antigen developed after 21 days. Moreover I get negative after 21 days of being involved in protected sex. Do I have to take after 3 months or it's good enough.

Some of these tests take a few days for results, but rapid HIV tests can give your results in about 20 minutes. Getting an early diagnosis of HIV is important because you can start treatment early and also take steps to keep from spreading the virus to others.

P 24 antigen can be done after 3 weeks of exposure but it would be worth doing an antibody based test at 12 weeks for final confirmation. Best wishes.
