My mother is 76 years old she has got fracture in b1 spine doctor advised her for 3 months strict bed rest since 1 month has passed but now she feels no pain in the that region when she tries to set so my question should she be made to sit since she feels no pain or she still some more months bed rest to heel.

She can lie down flat on a bed not on the cushion and also make sure that she doesn't sit for long for the next 6 weeks which might put more pressure in the spine. You can give good vitamin D and calcium which will help to have quick healing. And also if any physiotherapist can consult you at home then you can ask them to wear a Dorso Lumbar corset which acts as a shock absorption and that helps you to reduce the strain which falls in the back (if in case the spine is injured)
