I am a 43 years old man. My left foot is a bit swollen near the toes. Beneath the left foot (essentially near the middle across the foot) I feel a sensation that is like mild pain specially when stepping out of bed for the first time. Blood pressure is normal. Could you advise please on diagnosis & possible remedy?

If you have Diabetes Mellitus, then this could be due to Nuropathy. You will have to do nerve conduction tests, and specific medications. If not a diabetic then the possible cause could be Plantar Fasciitis. For this you will have to wear soft, pressure distributing in-soled foot wear always and plantar fascia stretching exercises, which you can get from the internet.
